Today’s prompt for T5W is ‘Books You Want to Read Before 2019’ and I thought this would probably be a good idea for me to do. Because I just realized a few days ago that I have no idea what I plan to read after I’m done with this month’s reads. But alas, T5W has come to help me and I now have some sort of an idea! (I think.)
This list won’t include any books on my November TBR, so really this is kind of a sneak peek of a few books I have planned for my December TBR!
Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare
Okay, so this is at least one I’m not iffy about, but one I am going to read. Like, as soon as it comes out. This is my most anticipated release of the year and words cannot describe how excited I am to be back in the Shadowhunter world. Cassie Clare is probably going to make us all suffer though and I am not ready for that!
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
I’ve been putting this one off for a while now because I’m kind of… really scared to read it. The reviews are mixed and they are INTENSE. It seems like everyone either passionately loves this one or aggressively hates it. But since the sequel is coming out in January, I figure it’s time I just go for it and see what all the hype/hate is about.
I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman
Oh, I want to read this so badly. I’m about 100% sure I’m going to love this with my whole heart because of all the praise and, well, it’s Alice Oseman. The only reason I haven’t gotten to it yet is because it isn’t available in the US and I still haven’t ordered it to be shipped internationally. Which is going to take a bit. So I should go do that. Like right now.
(Don’t) Call Me Crazy
Ahh I have been LOVING this anthology, but I have got to finish it already. I’ve already read a few essays (they’re so heartbreaking, but empowering, and I love them). This is one of those books I’ve been picking up here and there, so I have a good feeling I’ll have it done before 2019!
Enchantée by Grita Trelease
This is an early 2019 release that I recently received as an ARC and I am HYPED to read it. It’s fantasy and historical fiction, set in Paris in 1789, which sounds absolutely epic. I have plans to read at least a few ARCs before the end of this year (especially those coming out in January/February) so I have high hopes I’ll get this one in.
